Not just Diapers anymore

So I have now been looking around my sewing room and realizing that I have more then what I need laying around in boxes, shoe boxes and folders.  So what I have figure out is that I am not just doing to do cloth diapers anymore althou I was getting WAY more business when I was doing just diaps.  But I have so much more in me that I want to make that I am going to do all the things I love to make!

Here are just a few things I added to the list:

~ air fresheners for cars and dressers

~ car stering wheel covers

~ minkee blankets

~ Fun N Funky Teether Knot Toys

And here are some things I will be adding shortly:

~ heat bags

~ aroma therapy heat bags

~ cold and hot bags

I will be adding these items shortly when I sell a few more items on etsy.  That way I can make more room in my store.  I don't want to have too many items then everyone might get bored of looking too much.  No offence to all my friends but I hate having to look threw 100's of items just to find something I like.  When I only notice one or two things.  But you know you want to look more just incase, but then that boredom sets in , and blah blah blah.

So I hope you will all look forward to see all my new items.

Sitting here thinking

Ok so I am sitting here thinking with my littlest one blabbing away and wondering what I should do next.  I think I have come into my point in life where I need to change.  I want still create many beautiful projects for others to enjoy, but I would love to do something a little different with they way I am doing it.

  My dad was talking with his g/f FRIEND the other day and she had come up with the idea that I should make my diapers but also have a diaper cleaning servious.  I was thinking that that was more then just a little change but also an idea to add on to later on in a few  . . .  But sticking with the idea of change I was thinking more of the lines of adding in 'themes' to my items.  So there will still be my diapers, mama products and a little bit of everything else, but have a theme to each item.  Rocker, MOD, punk, skulls, girly, boyish, sports, kinda idea? 

Think this is good?  Well maybe this will be my new change for the New Year.  I will stumble an idea around with my fam. and see what else everyone is seeing.  Maybe I will even get something to progress my career in the form of a Christmas gift?  Who knows, we will see.  Talk to you all soon.

Christmas is coming !

Ok so christmas is coming its time to grab those winter style diapers.  Here are a few instock!  I am trying very hard to make some more, but with all the kids and christmas and running around I find I have no time for anything.  I have been staying up til 1 in the morning, Sleep oh so needed. . . . ..

Me and the Girls today

Ok so today is me and the girls day.  Daddy and Cyrus are out to Bubba's House to work.  One the agenda today?  Lunch almost done, shower, sleepy time and then while the girls are sleeping I will sew sew sew, all I can. 

On my list of accomplishments today for sewing:

- cut out prints for diapers and mama pads
- make a whole bunch of "pick your style diapers"
- make up some wipes
- make up some breast pads

Hmmm, think I can get that all done in 3 hours?  We will see.

Please help - Need help advertising ?

Ok so I joined "The Mom Pack" about a year ago and have been posting quite recently, and a couple of days ago I posted this "Please help - Need help advertising".  Beucase I haven't been getting very many items boughten off of my etsy store. . . So I was calling out for help.

Here were some of the responces I gotten:

- Try trading items on diaperswappers, this way you can get your name out there and then people will know more about you.

- Explain more about the product you use . . . V lite, I have never heard about it.

- Most people like just the PUL on the outside, because it creates less leaks, but I don't know your diapers and how well they work.  This is just what I have been hearing from some people.


So with all these comments I have decided to reveant my site, once again, and also write up a whole bog post and page for my website about v lite.  Instead of just memtioning it in both!

So in conclusion, I will be posting later a BIG article on this product. . . V Lite.

One day I was asked if I had wanted to do a trade, from a lovely yougne mom on etsy.  She had wanted to do a trade for a free cloth diaper for free advertising on her blog.  I couldn't pass it up.  Why not, that way it is good for me as well as her.  Leahs Little Life is her blog and she has been doing this for awhile now, and promoting peoples sites and writing up blog posts about their items.  Here is the link (Leahs cool dude diaper)to my blog post from her, and here are a few pictures. . .

New cloth diaper idea brewing . . .

Ok so I have an idea brewing in my mind, since by daughter is getting these really bad rashes on her bottom.   They have been coming and going for a few months now, and I am unsure why.  I have tried using regular store boughten cloth diapers because  ithought maybe it was the fabric.  But she had never gotten them before.  But she was also used to regular baby food?  So I am thinking maybe now that she is eatting people food that here little body is not used to it and with the cloth she might be getting bad reactions.  So I am coming up with a new idea that will be reuable and trowawayable (thats not a real word I know!). 

I think I will make it a OS ? But am not sure yet.  I want to be able to use both cloth in the middle or the g diapers cloths.  That way it is not so guilty and you are still saving the earth at the same time.

I want to be able to use the outer like a cover, and then have snap in covers/water-proof material, so it is still somewhat breathable for the baby.  And then have the insert on the inside and either wash it and trow it in the washer or trow it in the compost/garbage.

I will definitly keep everyone posted and make sure to keep everyone posted!

OS Cloth Diapers

Ok so I have come up with the perfect OS one size cloth diaper. This one fits baby who at the time was 10 pounds, my toddler who was 22 pounds, and my son who was 38 pounds. Tested and tried for a few days with the new pattern.



Last setting was for my daughter all the way back to the fith setting on the side snap & both inner snaps snapped together, and for my oldest daughter on the second last setting with one inner snap undone and for my son (super skinny) I had it on the fourth last setting with both snaps undone. And still more room for a few extra pounds!

This diaper can be made as a:

~ AIO

~ AI2

~ Pocket

~ Fitted

And can be as custom as you want!!!
